There is some excellent news for Tottenham Hotspur fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern, as Metro claim they will be signing some top talent this summer.
The Lilywhites of course spent big money after the departure of Gareth Bale, yet they have not seen their new players perform in the way they wanted.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy spoke about the future of the club, and noted that not only will there be a new stadium, but there will also be some ‘key’ new players on their way to North London.
He noted: “Our focus is to continue to invest in and develop the squad.
“We shall not look to a summer of major upheaval, but rather to strengthen in key positions, to play the style of football for which we are famous and to deliver a new stadium.”
He also spoke about the future of the squad, and made it clear that he is not very impressed with certain new players. He claimed: “Whilst this season’s performances and results have not lived up to expectation, we believe our squad has potential,
“It is important that we all now show commitment and teamwork to get the best possible finish to the season.”
Not only that, but as our punters note, Tim Sherwood is looking for a player who is comfortable in the Premier League, and Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku is top of that list.
Which ‘quality’ transfer targets could realistically be arriving at White Hart Lane this summer? Let us know your thoughts below.
