Going into the game against Brighton on Saturday there was all sorts of media speculation around Harry Kane. Almost everyone was saying he’s not 100% fit and whilst it’s true that he looked jaded only he will know whether he’s fit. However, he put the bad performances against Watford, Liverpool and Inter behind him and impressed at The Amex.

It was far from a textbook Harry Kane display, the striker missed a couple of chances in the last 15 minutes and on another day he easily could have walked away with a hat-trick and the match ball. Unfortunately, he had to settle for the one goal on the day as he bagged from the penalty spot after Glenn Murray was adjudged to have block Kieran Trippier’s free-kick with his hand.
Kane did look like he was covering more ground on the south coast than he had done in previous games and he did a good job in holding the ball up and taking the pressure off of his defence when Brighton ad spells of pressure. The fans overall will be pleased with Kane as he looked much better against Brighton than he has done as of late and in upcoming games against Huddersfield and Cardiff, he’ll be desperate to improve still.

Don’t drop too deep, play up front and take your shots!
Let the midfielders do the creating for you!

Good penalty Harry, and the next time you’ll score from open play as well. You had your chances today and could easily have bagged a hat-trick on a different day. Just keep up the hard work big man
