Tottenham fans take to Twitter in jubilation over Trippier exit rumours

Some players leave fans devastated when they leave football clubs, and whilst Tottenham have had a few of those down the years with the likes of Gareth Bale and Luka Modric’s exits, Kieran Trippier is not the same. The English full-back was electric in World Cup 2018, but since he’s struggled and now Di Marzio claims he could be on his way.

Trippier is just one of Tottenham’s calamity full-backs. The Lilywhites wingback’s in the 2015/16 season were the best in the world, as Danny Rose and Kyle Walker bombed down the flanks causing havoc. However, now Rose has been crocked and Walker sold, the likes of Trippier, Ben Davies and Serge Aurier are now those relied upon even though they seldom have the impact required.
Trippier is the biggest disappointment, though. After the Englishman’s exploits as a right-wingback in Gareth Southgate’s England set-up last summer, he’s failed to hit the same heights and has often been scapegoated by the Lilywhites for his failures this season. Now these rumours have come up too, and Tottenham fans are all desperate to see the defender make his Tottenham bow this summer.

The Lilywhites are desperate for Trippier to go and will hope that Daniel Levy acts quickly to see him off in the summer.
