There’s no doubting that Tottenham fans are desperate for signings when the summer comes around. However, the Lilywhites want to make sure the right new faces come in, and they’re not sure whether or not Matthias Ginter is what they need as they’ve stumbled upon a Sky Sports report linking them with the German defender.

This isn’t the first time the Lilywhites have been linked with the Borussia Monchengladbach defender, as they were first looking at bringing him in summer 2017, a window in which the 25-year-old did move, but instead of joining up with Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs he left Borussia Dortmund for Gladbach. Now, though, with Gladbach supposedly ready to let him go, Spurs fans aren’t convinced.
At the age of just 25 there’s plenty of time for the German to develop and improve, but considering Tottenham could be set to lose Toby Alderweireld at the end of the season the fans are keen to ensure that they replace the star defender with someone of a similar calibre, as difficult as that may be. The Lilywhites just aren’t convinced that Ginter is of that calibre, and they’ll hope their club gives this one a miss.

How about some decent full backs?

A proper back up Striker?

The Lilywhites aren’t exactly jumping for joy at being linked with Ginter and will hope this move fails to materialise.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
