Last night was a nervy one wasn’t it Tottenham fans? The Lilywhites scraped past Brighton’s anti-footballing side 1-0 thanks to a Christian Eriksen wonder-strike in the 88th minute, but the Dane wasn’t the star of the show, as Danny Rose put in a blinder to help secure all three points for the Champions-League-chasing side.

It certainly wasn’t a pretty performance from Brighton last night, but it was almost so effective. The Seagulls turned up without any intention of going forward and had their hearts set on drawing the game 0-0, very rarely venturing into the Tottenham half. Chris Hughton’s side completed just 20 passes in the final third, and that stat is all you need to hear to understand how it went.
Tottenham weren’t fazed by the complete defensive display from Brighton, though, and after a number of pot-shots, found the net through Eriksen. The display from Danny Rose simply has to be commended, though. The left-back was a constant thorn in Brighton’s side and whilst he started as a full-back, he moved further up in the latter stages of the clash, playing a crucial role in Mauricio Pochettino’s side’s win as they continue to battle for a spot in the top four.
You can read the Lilywhites’ calls for Rose as their MOTM here:
FFS, anyone who didnt vote Danny Rose should receive a lifetime ban from participating in any form of democratic exercise.

If your not saying Danny Rose then you didn’t watch the game, one of his best performances in a spurs shirt , was everywhere and was 100% committed tonight

HAHAHA this literally shows you the tunnel vision of a football fan. Eriksen scores so is motm. Without that goal he was diabolical. Rose motm by a mile

Danny was our best overall player for 90 minutes. He was world class today. However, Eriksen will get it for that Worldie to win the match.

Danny Rose, need not ask

Seriously, I know Eriiksen scores the goal but Danny Rose was the best player on the field today!

How has Danny Rose not won this comfortably

Rose was incredible from minute one last night and the fact he hasn’t been voted the man of the match is a disgrace as far as these supporters are concerned.
