Tottenham fans take to Twitter to call for huge Bale-Eriksen swap deal

Tottenham fans have plenty of players who they’ve loved down the years. However, the Lilywhites haven’t been able to welcome someone like that back after their huge move. Now, though, they now have the chance as The Mirror claim Gareth Bale could return to North London in a spectacular swap deal for Christian Eriksen.
[@MirrorFootball] understands Tottenham Hotspur could sacrifice midfielder Christian Eriksen in order to bring Gareth Bale back to Spurs from Real Madrid.

If this swap deal was to happen it would surely be one of the sagas of the summer. Back in 2013, the Lilywhites were gutted when they lost Gareth Bale to Real Madrid, although they all knew that he was going to be off in that summer. Now, though, it looks like the Welshman could be on his way back after six tough years in Madrid where the Spurs’ hero never really took to life out there.
The 29-year-old Welshman was the hero of the Champions League final last May in Kiev yet even his heroics with one of the greatest ever goals in a Champions League final hasn’t been able to turn around his fortunes in Madrid. The next step for the incredibly talented forward is surely a move away from the Bernabeu, and as Tottenham fans would love him to return it could tie in with a move for the currently out-of-form Christian Eriksen.

Honestly, the rate Eriksen is going, I’d take it. Bale for free plus £50m to buy a solid world class tank midfielder.

The Lilywhites would take Bale back in a heartbeat, even if it might cost them Eriksen.
