Tottenham fans have had it rough this season in terms of their injury problems. The Lilywhites have had more than their fair share of absentees and as they head into a clash with Burnley at Turf Moor tomorrow they’ll be doing so with both Ben Davies and Danny Rose as doubts, however, the fans are desperate to see Jan Vertonghen there again.

In the Champions League last week Danny Rose was unavailable after suffering a knock to his shin against Leicester City whilst Ben Davies continued his rehabilitation on a groin injury, forcing Vertonghen to be used as a left-wing-back in a five-man defence. However, the Belgian stepped up to the plate with a scintillating performance that saw him rated the best player of the knockout rounds so far.
Now, it looks like both Rose and Davies are on their way back. Rose will be undergoing a late fitness test to see if he can play whilst his Welsh counterpart will be eased back in gently over the next few games seeing as he’s only just returned to first-team training, meaning that Vertonghen will be likely be used in the same role he starred in against Borussia Dortmund, and the fans cannot wait.

Jan the wing back should be picked now and let rose leave for those bigger wages he so desperately wants.

Danny arose is great and all, but Vertonghen already has that spot locked up

This looks like a job for Super Jan

The Lilywhites have no issues with Vertonghen filling in at left back and will hope he can be just as good as he was against Dortmund.
