Tottenham fans take to Twitter to delight at Sissoko’s timely return

Tottenham fans have been given so much bad news on the injury front this season that even the slightest piece of good news has come as a huge surprise. In this case, that good news is that Moussa Sissoko has returned from injury after just one game and will be available for selection tonight against Watford at Wembley.

One of the first items on the agenda from Mauricio Pochettino’s press conference yesterday was the club’s current injury concerns. Both Harry Kane and Dele Alli with both expected to return in early March and are continuing rehabilitation. Then there’s Ben Davies who is unavailable but is currently being assessed, leaving just Moussa Sissoko left and the Frenchman’s fitness is the only good news.
The Lilywhites absolutely love Sissoko, despite the fact this time last year they viewed him as a massive waste of £30 million. The fans now understand just what he brings to the side and with his confidence sky high all he needs is to add a couple of goals to complete the turnaround, which he could have the opportunity to do tonight having returned from both a groin injury and a knee injury in the last couple of weeks to be fit.
