Tottenham fans take to Twitter to delighted at Aurier to China rumours

The full-back situation at Tottenham is one that needs sorting as soon as possible. The Lilywhites, if they had the power to, would likely only keep Danny Rose from their four senior options, binning Keiran Trippier, Ben Davies and Serge Aurier. However, one of those three could be out the door according to reliable journalist, Nabil Djellit.

The defender in question who is apparently open to a move to China, and the massive wages that would go with it, is Serge Aurier. The Ivorian international has had his fair share of controversy in his career already, and at the age of just 26, it looks like his Tottenham days could be numbered. Mauricio Pochettino, though, would surely need to replace him if he was to let the ex-PSG man depart this month.

At the moment, Aurier is sharing the right-back role with Trippier, yet he missed out on Sunday’s clash with Manchester United after being arrested on Saturday night following a heated row with his partner. The Mail reported on the incident, and it isn’t the first time that the 26-year-old has been in trouble with the law, as he was previously denied entry into England to play Arsenal in the Champions League with PSG after being arrested for assaulting a police officer.

You can read the Lilywhites’ thoughts on the Aurier rumours here:

Aurier is a player who has so much promise, although he continually allows himself to be drawn into off-field controversies, and a lot of Tottenham fans would happily let him leave.
