Tottenham fans take to Twitter to lament their injury woes

Tottenham fans’ nerves will be starting to jangle today as they prepare for what will be an incredibly tense and tight North London Derby tomorrow in the Premier League’s early kickoff. However, it’s been made a lot worse for the Lilywhites as the news has broken that both Harry Winks and Jan Vertonghen could miss the clash with hip problems.

The Lilywhites might be given the welcome news tomorrow morning at 11:30 that both Winks and Vertonghen have passed late fitness tests and are in the squad, yet the chances of that happening are looking slim. The fans have been looking at how they may set up for the clash with their bitter rivals, and they’re expecting to see an unchanged Tottenham defence and Victor Wanyama brought in midfield.

The fans have become very accustomed to seeing both Winks and Moussa Sissoko in the middle of their midfield for a long period of time this season. However, there’s nothing wrong with bringing in Wanyama for a game. The Kenyan has had some serious injury issues of his own over the last couple of seasons and whilst he may not have the match sharpness that Winks has accumulated over the months, his emphasis on defence could make him a superb option.

The Lilywhites hate the idea of being without Winks and Vertonghen tomorrow and will be desperate for both to be fit in time.
