Aston Villa fans may love him to pieces, but there is absolutely no way that they can justify selling him for the fee being rumoured. Tottenham are interested in the midfield maestro, yet according to Neil Moxley of The Mirror, the midfielder’s buyout clause stands at £60 million, over three times his Transfermarkt valuation of £18 million.

Tottenham have done an excellent job of staying competitive this season despite the fact they’ve gone well over a year without signing a single player. Mauricio Pochettino is the glue holding this injury-stricken side together, but in the summer cash will need to be splashed. One of those expected to be on Poch’s radar is Jack Grealish, but there’s no way he’ll splurge £60 million on him.
Pochettino will likely go for English talent to bolster homegrown quotas at the club, and that’s not a bad idea, but it has to make sense and add to the squad. Reinforcements are needed all over, although the midfield in particular needs a revamp and Grealish’s ability to carry the ball in transition and make things happen from deep would make him perfect, but not at the price the Villains want.
You can see what the Lilywhites have had to say about the huge Grealish fee here:
Well for £60m he can do one £25-£30m maybe

I'd rather burn £60m than knowing that we spent that much on Jack Grealish…

Grealish is rubbish. Why would you spend anything on him. Is it coz hes english? The guy hasn’t even set the championship alight so what makes u think he do well back in The premier league. Please levy dont spend any money on this guy

The Lilywhites have no interest in splurging masses of cash on Grealish, although should the price drop they’ll no doubt gain more interest.
