Tottenham fans have been left fuming as once again they find themselves let down by the latest stadium update. The Lilywhites’ official Twitter account posted an update yesterday morning, and it seems like the first game there will now be against Crystal Palace on 16th March. Spurs fans can read the latest update on the Tottenham Hotspur website.
New stadium update.
— Tottenham Hotspur (@SpursOfficial) January 9, 2019
At the start of the Premier League season the belief was that Tottenham would be facing Fulham at Wembley before returning to their actual home in North London for their next home game against Liverpool. However, things have changed drastically since then, and with seven more home Premier League games played at Wembley since that Liverpool clash, it’s all a massive farce.
The news that has now come out has claimed that there will be another five games at Wembley for the Lilywhites in all competitions before they move into the stadium, and that will be six if they make the Carabao Cup final, albeit that would see it viewed as a neutral venue. The on-going mess with the stadium has left Tottenham fans everywhere absolutely fuming, and they won’t be happy until they’re back in North London on the site of their beloved White Hart Lane.
