Tottenham fans take to Twitter to reminisce over Danny Rose debut strike

Tottenham fans are going to be getting more and more nervous between now and 12:30. They face Arsenal at Wembley in the first Premier League clash at the weekend and ahead of the clash the Lilywhites have taken to Twitter to share a video of Danny Rose’s Premier League debut thunderbolt against Arsenal from way back in April 2010.

Since that day when Rose scored an absolute wonder goal in what is the biggest game of the season for Tottenham, the 28-year-old has become an icon at the club and has made well over 100 appearances for the club. Despite all of his injury woes, the left-back as clocked up 183 games and scored an impressive ten goals with 27 assists and could be set to bag another one tomorrow against the Gunners.

Whilst Rose may have scored a few goals here and there in his career, he will likely never top that goal he bagged on his debut against Arsenal. As a teenager, the young defender didn’t go up for an early Tottenham corner yet when the ball came out to him on the volley he had no issues with lumping a shot towards goal over the top of Almunia and into the back of the net. If we can have another one of those later today then there’s no doubting that Wembley will go wild.

You can read the Lilywhites’ verdict on Rose here:

The Lilywhites cannot get over the wonder goal from Rose all those years ago and will be desperate for him to bag another one like that later today.
