Tottenham fans saw a grand total of zero players signed in the last two transfer windows, and that much is common knowledge. Given the way they’ve been drawing blanks during the silly season, this report from The Daily Mail has been met with ridicule, as they’ve claimed the Lilywhites could be set to welcome SIX new faces to the club.
#thfc will enter the transfer market this summer and are targeting a new left-back, a centre-back, two central midfielders, an attacker and a back-up striker to Harry Kane. [Daily Mail]

Specific names haven’t been mentioned in terms of targets, but the Mail have claimed that Daniel Levy and Mauricio Pochettino will be putting their heads together and looking to bring in two new central midfielders and a new left-back as standard. Then the extras that may also be added will be a back-up striker for Harry Kane and replacements for Toby Alderweireld and Christian Eriksen should they be sold.
It certainly is ambitious from the Tottenham hierarchy, and whether there’s much truth in it is up for debate. However, to go 18 months and three transfer windows without signing anyone is simply not an option, so even if these reports prove to be inaccurate and the Lilywhites only bring in two or three new players as opposed to the touted six, the fans will still be delighted.
With that in mind, here’s what the Lilywhites have made of the Mail’s report:
And then logged out of Football Manager

That horse has bolted, should’ve been addressed over the last 3/4 windows. The club has gone back 3 years unless we buy 5 quality players

I know daily mail write fiction but this is another level

Daily Mail treating transfers like they’re playing bloody FIFA.

I'll believe it when I see it

Can't see all that happening on deadline day. Levy will wait until the big Clubs have snapped up all the real talent then be scrapping with Everton, West Ham etc for the leftovers.

The Lilywhites have got little faith in bringing in so many new faces at once and will only believe it when they see it when the summer comes around.
