Tottenham Hotspur have found themselves in the position they’ve been in years under Mauricio Pochettino, and now they just need a little bit of funding behind them if they’re to kick on. However, financial backing is a long shot at Spurs, and the fans have been left with these Tuttosport, via The Mirror, rumours linking them with Giuseppe Rossi.

The Lilywhites have enjoyed seeing some of the shrewd signings that have come through the door at Tottenham over the last few years. However, the fans are all firmly of the belief that if they signed Rossi it would be far from shrewd. The 31-year-old is currently training with Manchester United after leaving Genoa back in summer last year, and it’s one that has a hint of desperation about it.
The Italian had a successful career in his day, but like many players who failed to reach their potential, he was blighted by injuries. All that Mauricio Pochettino will want the experienced front man for is games here and there as they get over Harry Kane’s injury whilst Heung-Min Son is away, so at least the offer they’ve tabled him is a pay-as-you-play contract, and the fans would be livid if they tied down the 29-cap international to a multi-year contract.

The Lilywhites would be fuming if their side signed Rossi on any type of deal, and would rather steer clear of the injury-plagued Italian.
