Mauricio Pochettino is a man who gets it right a lot more than he gets it wrong. However, today was one of those off days. The Argentine set his side up wrong, leaving out Toby Alderweireld for Juan Foyth and then he reacted too late in the game as Arsenal ran riot in the second half, leading to plenty of Tottenham fans slating him after the game.

Pochettino is undoubtedly the best manager that Tottenham have ever had in the Premier League era, and it is inevitable that he will lose big games at the club. It’s just a very bitter pill to swallow when that big game loss comes against Arsenal at The Emirates and in the manner that it did today. Having led 2-1 at half-time, it seems crazy to think the second-half finished 3-0 to The Gunners.
The Argentine tactician has got this Tottenham team punching above their weight, but with his impressive record comes increased expectation from the supporters. Today saw that expectation come in heavily and when they lost the fans were looking for a scapegoat. Unfortunately, it looks like they might find one in Poch for this game, as he left it very late to bring on his changes, making Unai Emery the hero for his switches at the break.
You can see what The Lilywhites sadi about Poch here:
Learn to see the signs and make changes, not wait till the damage is done. We lose too many points because of this.

Pochettino lost us this one. Questionable line-up and failure to react and adjust.

The mistake was resting alderweireld for a north london derby

Poch’s tactics were completely wrong. He left it far too late for his subs. That cost us massively today

We lost because of ur choices in the pitch.

Poch, you just react too slow.

The Lilywhites were fuming at their loss and unfortunately decided that Pochettino needed to shoulder the blame.
