Tottenham fans want Daniel Levy to sanction £62million deal for Christian Pulisic

Tottenham Hotspur’s transfer window is yet to get underway, and with time running out for Daniel Levy to conclude a handful of deals the supporters are beginning to become rather agitated.

With Jose Mourinho’s recent comments regarding Anthony Martial’s decision not to return to the USA after the birth of his child in mind, it would appear that Spurs could not be in a better position to lure the Frenchman to North London this summer.

The ever-persistent issue of Daniel Levy’s prudence and pragmatism could ultimately prove to be their downfall, though, in one of the most widely-publicised pursuits of the entire summer window, but that has not prevented the supporters from demanding a signing who would be available at a similar price to Martial.

According to a recent report from Bild (via talkSPORT), negotiations over a new contract between Christian Pulisic and Borussia Dortmund have broken down, leaving the Bundesliga giants open to the prospect of selling the USA international wonderkid this summer.

The report claims that Dortmund’s asking price would be in the region of £62 million, and plenty of Spurs fans believe that’s a price well worth paying for Pulisic’s services.

In response to reports, the supporters spoke of their admiration for the 19-year-old on Twitter and called for Levy to finance the acquisition of a marquee signing ahead of the new season.

Pulisic may not have enjoyed his most productive spell last term as he only managed 4 goals and 6 assists from 32 Bundesliga appearances last season, but the extent of his potential suggests that particular record is destined to improve with every passing season.

Here’s how the Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted to reports from Germany…
