Tottenham Hotspur may have failed to sign a single player during the English transfer window, but there is still time for a reshuffle in their squad whilst transfer windows remain open across Europe.
Danny Rose has been heavily linked with a move away from Spurs in recent days with PSG reportedly interested in bringing him to the French capital, but a recent report from The Sun suggests he’s not the only player in line for a potential departure this month.
Indeed, the report claims that Turkish giants Fenerbahce are hoping to complete a loan deal with an option-to-buy clause for Moussa Sissoko before September 1st when the transfer window slams shut.
Sissoko has struggled to live up to his £31.5 million price tag since he arrived in north London from Newcastle, with a distinct lack of decisiveness characterising his impact in the final-third.
Although he possesses plenty of desirable physical attributes, his technical quality, composure and decision-making have regularly let him down in promising attacking situations, so it’s no surprise that plenty of supporters are hoping the France international will depart in the near future.
A handful of supporters are concerned that allowing Sissoko to leave could be a foolish move due to the sparsity of Mauricio Pochettino’s options in midfield, but with Harry Winks returning to full fitness and Lucas Moura beginning to prove his worth, it seems unlikely that Spurs would be made to a rue their decision to offload him.
Here’s what the Tottenham fans have had to say in response to reports linking Sissoko with a move away from the club…
