Juventus forward Paulo Dybala, who is valued at £76.5 million (as per Transfermarkt), was heavily linked with a move to Tottenham all summer, but a transfer failed to be completed and the Argentinian decided to stay put in Turin.
However, after being limited to just one appearance under manager Maurizio Sarri so far this season, it’s beginning to look clear that the 25-year-old’s future may lie away from the Serie A club, especially considering one of the players keeping him out of the team at Juve is Cristiano Ronaldo.
Reports on Twitter, via Italian news outlet Tuttosport, claim that Spurs could offer the South American a lifeline in January. The north Londoners have allegedly held talks with Juventus over a potential swap deal, which would see Christian Eriksen head to Italy in an exchange for Dybala.
Eriksen’s contract is up next summer and to prevent him leaving on a free, Spurs are thought to want to cash in on their Danish playmaker, with Dybala a seemingly attractive proposition.
As you can probably imagine, the news went down a storm with Tottenham fans on Twitter, with most fans wanting to see Dybala at White Hart Lane over Eriksen…

Dybala would instanly improve our first 11 but would be a straight purchase.
