Yesterday saw Tottenham host Liverpool at Wembley in the Premier League and they’d have been hoping for a repeat of last season’s thumping 4-1 victory over The Reds at the national stadium. However, it wasn’t to be and after some shocking football from Tottenham, they deserved to lose. Eric Dier was one of the culprits of Spurs’ showing and the fans were keen to let him know.
82 – Our final change:

Dier was subbed with around ten minutes to play and the supporters took to Twitter to show their frustration at his performance. Eric Dier has failed to impress many Tottenham fans for a while now and after his shocking performance against Liverpool it would be no surprise to see him dropped for the Champions League clash with Inter Milan on Tuesday evening.
Victor Wanyama is the man who replaced Dier and it really highlighted Tottenham’s lack of summer investment as the options off the bench simply were not there against Liverpool. It will be no surprise to see Wanyama start over Dier when Mauricio Pochettino picks his side to turn out at the San Siro and it could be a good thing to give Dier a rest. If he does start against Inter Milan then the fans won’t have very high expectations for him.

Terrible performance from Dier. I hope we sign a top midfielder in the January window – we need one desperately. Dembele just gets too tired, Dier isn't that good and Winks still needs more improvement.

The fans want a break from seeing Eric Dier on the pitch and after his Wembley display it would be no surprise to see him dropped against Inter.
