It is reported today that Tottenham target Roberto Soldado is not planning to walk on Valencia despite strong interest from the Premier League, according to talkSPORT.
The impressive Spaniard has scored 59 goals in his 101 La Liga outings after arriving at the Mestalla from Getafe three years ago and it has been suggested that he could have made his final appearance for the club with a host of teams chasing the 28-year-old this summer.
Among the front runners are the White Hart Lane club who are still seeking to bring in another striker this summer after missing out on qualification for the Champions League on the final day of last season.
Rumours in the tavern has indicated that Daniel Levy was ready to move for Saldado in a statement of intent that could encourage Welsh star Gareth Bale to remain at the club despite strong interest from Real Madrid.
However it now appears that the North London club will be unlucky in their chase for striking reinforcements after Soldado made clear he wasn’t planning to leave Spain this summer.
Speaking while on international duty with Spain, he said: “Even though we did not get into the Champions League with Valencia, my dream is to stay and get us back there, where we belong.”
