In recent comments made on Twitter, Alasdair Gold has been raving about Tottenham Hotspur youth prospect, Harvey White.

A product of the Spurs youth setup, White made his first-team debut for Jose Mourinho's side this season, in the club's 4-0 Europa League victory over Ludogorets Razgrad back in November.

And, while, at present, this is White's only senior outing for Tottenham, the midfielder has nevertheless impressed for the club's U23 side this term, with the defensive midfielder scoring three goals and providing five assists over his 10 Premier League 2 appearances.

The latest of these five assists came during the side's recent 3-2 defeat to Chelsea's U23 team, a game in which the 19-year-old highly impressed Football.London's Tottenham correspondent, Alasdair Gold, who took to Twitter to praise the former England U18 international.

He said: "Very decent month for Harvey White as well. Got a new contract with the club after making his first-team competitive debut in the Europa League. Very talented midfielder as that delightful pass above shows. He's been impressing the first-team coaching staff."

With White operating from defensive midfield, should he continue his progression at his current rate, Mourinho could end up with somewhat of a selection headache in the future, albeit for good reasons.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has highly impressed for Spurs since his summer move from Southampton, averaging a WhoScored match rating of 7.01 over his 12 Premier League appearances for Tottenham thus far, while Oliver Skipp, who is currently on loan at Championship side Norwich City, has also been impressing in defensive midfield, averaging a WhoScored match rating of 6.70 over his 18 appearances in the second tier.

As such, come next season, with the possibility of Hojbjerg, Skipp and White all competing for the same position, it would seem that Tottenham will have great depth in their defensive midfield options.
