Tottenham Hotspur: Alasdair Gold shares Harry Kane ‘will be back’ claim as he is named in matchday squad

Speaking to football.london on the eve of Tottenham’s north London derby clash with Arsenal, reliable Spurs correspondent Alasdair Gold has claimed Harry Kane ‘will be back‘ to face the Gunners this afternoon – with the Englishman named in Jose Mourinho’s matchday squad by the Evening Standard.
Kane, who missed Spurs’ mid-week encounter with LASK in the Europa League, alongside a flurry of star names like Sergio Reguilon, Carlos Vinicius, Hugo Lloris and Toby Alderweireld, should return for Spurs this afternoon.
Kane tipped for Spurs start
Indeed, speaking to football.london before the Arsenal encounter, Gold has shared that it is highly likely Kane will be fit after Mourinho’s press conference – in which the Portuguese dropped a cryptic hint and was optimistic about the Englishman’s return (Alasdair Gold).
This comes as a potentially huge boost for Tottenham and Mourinho who could have their talismanic striker back for their biggest game of the season so far.
Transfer Tavern take
If he does return to the fold, there is little doubt Kane will start – with Gold now tipping the Englishman to return for the almighty clash against Spurs’ arch rivals.
Given a slight concern for Vinicius in mid-week also, with the summer signing also missing LASK, it’s little doubt that Tottenham would have been in serious trouble going forward had both players been ruled out of contention for the Arsenal game.
Luckily for Lilywhites, their ‘monster‘ now looks likely to return, a massive boost given the circumstances and one that could elevate Spurs to a new level as they hope to regain their place at the summit of the Premier League.
