Tottenham Hotspur boss lines up Senegal international as he looks towards summer recruitment drive

pochettino9921The Tottenham Hotspur supporters have been drowning their sorrows here in the Transfer Tavern ever since Monday night, when their 2-2 draw with Chelsea ensured that it would be Leicester City who collected the Premier League title this season.

Despite their failure to win the league this season the future is still bright for Spurs and next season looks to be another big campaign for the white half of North London, with a return to Champions League football something to look forward to for the supporters.

Naturally players will arrive at White Hart Lane in the summer and our landlord has already spotted some speculation in today’s papers.

According to The Mirror, Spurs will try to sign striker Moussa Konate from Swiss outfit Sion in the summer, with the club keen to sign some competition for influential talisman Harry Kane.

The Senegalese international has smashed an impressive 24 goals in 46 matches during the current campaign and is firmly on Mauricio Pochettino’s radar this summer.

One Spurs fan is still nursing a sore head following Monday night’s gutting result and he thinks that Konate could be a good player for the club, stating that his power in attack could be a key attribute next season.

Spurs fans, what do you know about Moussa Konate? Can he come and do a job in the Premier League? What other areas should the manager strengthen?
