Tottenham Hotspur: Fans were in full support of Dele Alli after the final whistle

Tottenham Hotspur fans took to Twitter to applaud Dele Alli following their encounter with Watford on Saturday afternoon.

Spurs were shell-shocked when Abdoulaye Doucoure put the visitors ahead in the 6th minute of play, however they managed to draw back level through their England international midfielder.

Alli netted a late equaliser although there had been some confusion surrounding it because of the VAR being used at the game as it had originally said it had been disallowed (per Sky Sports).

The former MK Dons midfielder has had it tough as of late as he has been forced to watch on from the sidelines in recent matches (TransferMarkt), although his performance may have given Mauricio Pochettino something to think about moving forward.

Speaking after the game to the club’s official media channel (via Twitter), the 23-year-old admitted that it was one of the games that they needed to win and that things needed to turn around quickly following a disastrous run of form.

He also revealed the club “were not panicking” and “know we have the quality in the team” whilst speaking about character and it appears the fans have his back regarding the situation and believe he was saying all the right things.

Here are just some of their reactions…
