Tottenham Hotspur have not made a bid for European-based goalkeeper

MusleraThe Tottenham Hotspur supporting punters here in the Transfer Tavern are enjoying their season so far, as their team currently sit nicely poised in second place.

Spurs have not won the top division for over 60 years and this season sees them have their best chance yet to claim the ultimate prize of the Premier League.

The feeling among the Spurs supporters at the bar in the Tavern is that if they don’t win the league this year, then they never will, stating that this chance must be taken.

Well with boss Mauricio Pochettino likely to want to strengthen the squad next season, the landlord has spotted some news via Team Talk, that suggests one player will not be joining the club.

The article claims that Turkish club Galatasaray have stated that they have not received any offers for their Uruguayan goalkeeper Fernando Muslera.

It was anticipated that Spurs wanted the ex-Lazio man to provide cover for regular stopper Hugo Lloris, but those reports have now been quashed by the controversial Turkish club.

One punter is sat chatting with the landlord and he doesn’t think the club should be in any rush to sign another keeper and is of the firm belief that Lloris is among the very best in the world.

Spurs fans… Would you welcome Muslera? Does the club need some backup for Lloris? Is Michel Vorm good enough as number two stopper?
