The boozy fans of Tottenham Hotspur fans here inside the pub are having a few games of pool, trying to take their minds off the fact they failed to capture any notable additions at the end of yesterday’s transfer window!
Saido Berahino was one name that Tottenham couldn’t quite sign, but with the addition of Clinton N’Jie from Lyon, Spurs fans should hope Harry Kane and co will have the goal department covered this term.
However, one position that is of some concern is central midfield after the likes of Stambouli and Paulinho, respectively both departed the North London club this summer.
The London Evening Standard are reporting that Daniel Levy was prepared to pay a massive £20 million for Southampton Midfield enforcer, Victor Wanyama, in hope to fill the void left by the long list of departures this summer window.
However, even though Erik Lamela and Andros Townsend were offered as part of a deal for the Kenyan International, the Saints were unwilling to sell and have now left Spurs lacking depth in midfield!
Spurs fans….. What do you make of the transfer window? Good or bad? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
