Tottenham Hotspur: New deals may not be on the cards for either Dier, Wanyama, Sissoko or Rose - Latest News

Tottenham Hotspur may not offer the likes of Eric Dier, Victor Wanyama, Moussa Sissoko or Danny Rose a new contract in the near future, according to a report by Football.London.

It is claimed that only one or two of the aforementioned individuals will be handed new deals, although it does not specify which players could be in line to receive them.

All of their current contracts expire at the end of the 2020/21 Premier League campaign, meaning they still have around 18 months or so to try and put themselves into contention of being offered a renewal.

Wanyama’s name will hardly be a surprise as it appeared as though he would be leaving Spurs in the previous transfer window, although the proposed move to Club Brugge collapsed just before the deadline surpassed.

The Kenya international is thought to have instructed his agent to find him a move away from Tottenham, however the earliest that can happen will now have to be in January.

Whether the next trio will be in line to receive new contract deals to remain in north London appears to be a little more up for debate.

Dier’s future at Spurs appears to be a little questionable at the moment, as he is yet to feature for Mauricio Pochettino this season (Transfermarkt), whilst the addition of Tanguy Ndombele may have pushed him further down the pecking order.

Rose’s own position at Tottenham has been thrown into doubt over recent months, as reports had circulated suggesting that he could be available for a transfer, whilst Watford are alleged to have had an offer turned down on deadline day.

The England international left-back has, however been in Pochettino’s side from the beginning of the campaign and has played almost every single minute available in their four Premier League matches so far (Transfermarkt), although that may only be because Ben Davies has just started to work his way back from injury.

Sissoko would have to be considered a real surprise name on the report as a player that may have doubt about his long-term future at the club. Despite being 30-years-old, the France international has proven to be an important member of Pochettino’s side over the last 18 months or so.

The midfielder went from one of Spurs’ biggest flops to one of their key members of the squad with a number of resurgent performances, whilst he has also been used by the Argentine in a number of different positions this season as well (WhoScored).

It will be interesting to see what Tottenham do in regards to Dier, Sissoko, Rose and Wanyama and who they do decide to offer contracts to in the future.

As mentioned, it would not be a surprise if Wanyama was not offered one, although there will certainly be some talk surrounding the other three.
