Somewhat of an on going saga now, the Daily Mail are today reporting that Saido Berahino has moved his way to the top of the list of Pochettino’s summer transfer targets as he looks to strengthen his strike force.
The West Brom striker who was unfortunately ruled out of the recent U21-Championships, has two years left to run on a £15,000-a-week contract but Baggies boss Tony Pulis has made it clear he wants to double these wages in order to keep hold of the young striker and warn off Spurs’ advances.
The 21-year old Englishman is comfortable playing as an outright forward, or on either side of the pitch as an attacking midfielder. Off the back of scoring 14 goals in the Premier League last term he would surely be a welcome addition at White Hart Lane.
Spurs fans…… What do you reckon? Could Berahino flourish at the Lane? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
