Tottenham star has cheeky dig at Chelsea following a share of the spoils at Stamford Bridge

Harry Kane 1The Tottenham Hotspur supporters here in the Transfer Tavern have been distraught for the last 24 hours, after witnessing their side hand the Premier League title to Leicester City with a 2-2 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge

Spurs have been excellent this season but have just lacked the consistency of their title counterparts, including last night when Mauricio Pochettino’s men threw away a two-goal lead.

Harry Kane fired the North Londoners into a first-half lead at Stamford Bridge last night and following the game he launched a scathing attack on the Blues, following a feisty affair which kept referee Mark Clattenburg on his toes.

Kane told The Metro: “When the ex-champions are celebrating like they have just won the league at the end, it shows we are doing something right.

“We just have to keep doing what we are doing, we have a great bunch of lads, a great manager, great staff and we’ve just got to keep that and move forward.

“We’re gutted. We have had a great season. Credit to Leicester City. Well done to them for winning the league, they have been fantastic this season.”

One Spurs fan is sat nursing a killer hangover in the Tavern and he thinks Spurs should still be proud of their efforts this season, claiming that the club are miles ahead of Chelsea in terms of squad depth at present. He also believes Spurs are in the top four to stay and looks forward to ousting Chelsea again next season.
