Tottenham Hotspur striker set to pen new bumper deal, despite flopping at Euro 2016

The Tottenham Hotspur supporters here in the Transfer Tavern are still smarting following the 2015/16 campaign when they threw away a shot at the title and finished below Arsenal in third, with the Gunners beating them to the runners-up spot on the very last day of the season.

The Spurs faithful have endured a long old summer and they will be keen for their team to get back onto the pitch in 2016/17 to put right the wrongs of last season.

Our landlord is busy having a clear out ahead of the new campaign and he has spotted some exciting news for the Spurs faithful in today’s The Sun, with reports claiming that hotshot Harry Kane is set to sign a new deal with the club.

The England striker experienced a difficult Euro 2016 campaign and failed to score a goal for the Three Lions but the man who netted 25 goals last season is set to net a new £5 million-a-year contract at White Hart Lane.

The Spurs fans are ecstatic with the news with one ardent Spurs fan claiming that he is delighted that Kane is set to stick around until 2021 at the very least.
