Tottenham Hotspur will mount late challenge to sign English striker

Saido Berahino Despite the Arrival of Heung-Min Son at White Hart Lane, from German side Bayer Leverkusen, it looks like Mauricio Pochettino wants to sign yet another forward to partner with Harry Kane before the Transfer window slams shut tomorrow evening.

The north London club have been unsuccessfully pursuing young England u21 striker, Saido Berahino, for many months now, with numerous bids being rebuffed by the Baggies who are reluctant to sell their young star, who shone in his first full season in the Premier league last term.

The Independent are reporting, however, that Spurs are set to resurrect their interests in signing the forward, with a last ditch deadline-day bid, of around £25 million – a deal that is surely going to excite Jim White and all of the boozy punters in this pub alike!

What do you make of this one Spurs fans? IS this a bit too much money for Berahino? Would it be enough to land the forward? Let us know your thoughts below!
