Tottenham Hotspur’s Most Wanted

I don’t know about you, but she appears to be asking me almost on the hour at this stage.

What do you want for Christmas?!!!’ My  ‘World Peace’, ‘That thing you did on my birthday’ and ‘Two front teeth’ answers which were unfunny to start with are causing the sort of anger that could cause Christmas to be canceled.

So here’s my Tottenham gift guide. Tell her you’d be happy with any of these! Prices from under a tenner so something to suit every pocket. Check out our promotional codes  as we’ve organised an additional discounts for you in most cases!

Signed from Scottish side Hearts for £32,000 in March 1959, the Edinburgh-born star quickly fund his feet in north London and with the attacking talents of Jimmy Greaves and Cliff Jones on hand to compliment his no-nonsense defending, Tottenham became a force to be reckoned with.

Mackay famously won the double – the first of the twentieth century – with the club in 1961 and went on to win the FA Cup in both 1962 and 1967, as well as the 1963 Cup Winners’ Cup after Atletico Madrid were beaten 5-1 in Rotterdam.

He finally left the club in 1958 when Clough persuaded him to sign for Derby County but Mackay’s place in Spurs history was already assured. He was inducted into the English Football Hall of Fame in 2002.

Tottenham Hotspur triumphed over Chelsea in the first all-London FA Cup Final at Wembley Stadium winning 2-1 on the day in 1967.

This limited edition framed shirt celebrates that fifth cup triumph and is personally signed by legendary skipper Dave Mackay £149.
