Tottenham Hotspur will be desperate to return to winning ways after suffering defeat earlier on today in the Premier League.
Spurs will need to work extremely hard if they are to get back into the title race, with Liverpool looking unstoppable at this moment in time.
Interestingly it appears as if Mauricio Pochettino will have to wait until the summer to secure a specific deal, as according to TuttoMercatoWeb (via Sport Witness), Tottenham are in close contacts with Genk for Sander Berge.
It’s thought that over the past few days, ‘close contacts’ have taken place between Genk and Spurs, with the Belgian outfit letting Tottenham know of their demands.
And, it’s understood that it’s ‘possible’ that an agreement takes place in the near future, but the transfer won’t go through until next summer.
Of course, with things going perfectly at this moment in time, perhaps Mauricio Pochettino will decide against spending. But, a summer agreement for Berge would set them up nicely for next season.
Sander Berge has already established himself as a regular with the Norwegian national side, with two goals and four assists at current club Genk in all competitions.
Of course, the Lilywhites look set to lose Mousa Dembele at some point in the near future, so bringing in a central midfielder would be the right move to make.
