Tottenham Hotspur are yet to make a signing this summer, however, they could be about to welcome their first new recruit to White Hart Lane.
Mauricio Pochettino is keen to add a couple of new faces to his squad during the transfer window as they look to remain competitive across all competitions once again.
Spurs will have the Premier League and Champions League tournaments as their main priorities, whilst they will also be involved in the FA and League Cups as well, two competitions they have a realistic chance of winning.
The club has been linked with a number of players over the course of the summer, with a number of their own men being talked about as possible departures, however, according to some reports, they could be about to bring their first player to north London.
Sky Sports are claiming Tottenham are in talks with Aston Villa about the transfer of Jack Grealish, with Spurs knowing full-well about the Villans current financial situation.
It is understood that they want between £30million and £40million for their highly-rated midfielder, although Daniel Levy is known to be a shrewd negotiator.
The possible transfer of Grealish to Tottenham now appears to have some legs to it, although it remains to be seen if whether it will be completed anytime soon.
Pochettino is thought to want a deal in place before the club goes on their pre-season tour to North America this weekend, however, Levy will probably feel he can continue to get Aston Villa to bring their valuation for the 22-year-old further down.
Grealish would be a solid addition for Spurs and with the Argentine’s track-record of developing youngsters into outstanding talents, it surely would only be a matter of time before the midfielder is one of those to benefit.
