It wasn’t so much a ‘Super Sunday’ for Tottenham fans in the Football Transfer Tavern as their side fell to a surprise defeat at Norwich City.
The result leaves hopes of possible Champions League qualification hanging on a knife edge with only eleven matches remaining.
After spending over £100 million during the summer, a failure to land a place in the elite European competition could very costly for the Lilywhites.
Already thoughts have turned to possible summer additions with Metro reporting that AC Milan’s Kevin Constant could join in a bargain deal.
The 26-year-old would be a versatile option for Spurs with his ability to feature in both midfield and left back, where he has been impressing for Milan in the last few months.
He has reportedly asked to depart the San Siro club at the end of the season and a potential switch to the Premier League could be on the cards.
Constant came close to signing for Napoli in the recent January transfer window, but now Spurs have emerged as an option for the Guinea international.
Milan could let him leave for about £3 million with Daniel Levy eager to have a cheaper summer in the transfer market.
