Tottenham Hotspur are understood to be interested in an attacking midfielder that has been in fine form this season.
According to a report by Calciomercato, Spurs are just one of a handful of teams that like Ajax’s Donny van de Beek.
And, it is hardly surprising to see why the Premier League outfit like the Holland international.
The 21-year-old has been extremely impressive for the Eredivisie outfit his season, having hit 12 goals and eight assists in his 40 matches across all competitions so far, including six in the top-flight.
Valued at £18million by Transfermarkt, Tottenham will have some competition to try and land him, with the likes of Milan and AS Roma both believed to be keen on him.
Van de Beek could be an excellent addition at Tottenham in the summer as he would be able to offer Spurs plenty of quality going forward in terms of finding the back of the net or providing his team-mates with opportunities to do so.
Mauricio Pochettino could look to rebuild his midfield ranks this summer, following the departure of Mousa Dembele in the winter transfer window and doubts surrounding Victor Wanyama’s future in north London.
However, whether Tottenham can beat the likes of Milan and Roma to his signature remains to be seen, as well as whether the club actually look to make an offer for the Dutchman.
