Tottenham Hotspur will be desperate to secure all three points in the Premier League tomorrow as they take on an impressive Everton side.
The Lilywhites won’t want to throw away all of their hard work at this stage in their season, with the January transfer window right around the corner. Indeed, it looks as if Mauricio Pochettino is eyeing a possible addition, as according to German newspaper TZ (via Ninety Minutes Online), Tottenham are interested in Mats Hummels.
Tottenham Hotspur are seeking a deal to bring Bayern Munich defender Mats Hummels to North London if he leaves the German champions in January.
Interestingly, it’s thought that Spurs have already been in touch with Hummels’ representatives.
It’s believed that he could leave in January, with Bayern Munich also set to secure the services of Lucas Hernandez, so Pochettino could land him quite easily if he can pip Chelsea.
Mats Hummels, who is valued at £36 million (by Transfermarkt), has established himself as one of the world’s best defenders over the years, but he just hasn’t been able to enjoy a successful time of things in the current campaign.
Spurs should go all out to sign the German as he could take their defence to the next level.
A central defensive partnership that involves Toby Alderweireld and Hummels is something that would send supporters on a one-way trip to dreamland.
