Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping for some huge additions this summer to bolster their quest for Premier League glory next term and it seems Mauricio Pochettino has his eyes set on upsetting Spurs’ close neighbours.
The Daily Star states Tottenham Hotspur have joined the hunt for Borussia Dortmund ace Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who’s future is shrouded in speculation after he rejected fresh terms from the Bundesliga side to assess his options.
Armenian international Mkhitaryan had a brilliant campaign for Dortmund during the 2015/16 season, as he scored 23 goals and laid a whopping 31 assists to his team-mates, whilst the 27-year-old also ran rings around Tottenham in the Europa League.
Arsenal and Chelsea have both been linked with the player’s services, although it’s understood the Blues are eying other options. Therefore, it could be a north London shoot-out to land the assist-king but Italian giants Juventus are also keen.
Mkhitaryan is likely to demand Champions League football, which both Arsenal and Spurs could offer, but Dortmund will command a large sum if they decide to sell.
Would Mkhitaryan be better off at Spurs or Arsenal? Let us know in the comments below!
