Totteham Hotspur finally got back to winning ways yesterday as they halted their slide with a win against Brighton and Hove Albion.
The Lilywhites haven’t exactly looked convincing in recent times as they recently ended a three-game losing streak, so improvements are definitely needed. Although, it looks as if Mauricio Pochettino is eyeing additions, as according to the Express, Tottenham have joined the race for David Neres.
Tottenham are ready to join the race to sign Ajax’s Brazilian winger David Neres in the New Year.
Neres, who is rated at around £45 million, has been watched by Manchester United, Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund this season.
Although, the 21-year-old extended his contract until 2022 this month but is set to leave the Dutch club.
Importantly, Spurs have already built a strong relationship with Ajax having signed Eriksen, Davinson Sanchez and Jan Vertonghen from the Eredivisie outfit.
There’s no doubt that the Brazilian is a special player and would be able to really excel in the Premier League, but Spurs do face competition from a number of big clubs.
Indeed, the London club have looked to bring in a number of players from the Dutch giants before, but they may struggle to match offers from rivals in their pursuit of the 21-year-old.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
