The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern are still reeling after their magnificent comeback against Man City over the weekend…
Despite going 2 goals down, the Lilywhites fought back from the dead to end the game with a point – with Mauricio Pochettino likely delighted that his side showed fight and commitment to ensure that they went home with something.
All told, the game was pretty hard work for Pochettino’s men – but it would appear as though the Tottenham brass was working equally hard off the pitch, too.
In what has come as good news for the Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern, though, Mauricio Pochettino has seen fit to turn the bid down – with the Argentine reportedly keen to hang on to Davies in the wake of a recent injury to Jan Vertonghen.
Though not a regular in the Tottenham first team, Ben Davies has become quite the cult hero amongst the Spurs fans in the Transfer Tavern – with the versatile, solid defender always producing a performance when called upon.
Contrastingly, though, the Crystal Palace fans are pretty disappointed. Their season has not been on the right track as of late, and with Sam Allardyce’s side currently sat in the relegation zone – they still have a lot of business to do before the end of January.
With Davies the latest move to be turned down, Sam Allardyce is quickly running out of time.
Our landlord thinks that this is a good decision by Pochettino, though, with Ben Davies arguably one of the most useful players in the Premier League. He thinks that Ben Davies’ lack of game time is more down to Tottenham’s strength at the back, rather than his own personal lack of ability. With Jan Vertonghen out, though, our landlord is touting Davies to get a bit more game time in the coming weeks…
