The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern are desperate for their side to continue to develop young players…
It appears as though that development may come via Nottingham Forest this summer, though, with the Evening Standard reporting that Tottenham are ‘likely’ to send at LEAST one young player to the English side this summer.
According to the Evening Standard, the relationship between Forest boss Mark Warburton and Tottenham development coach John McDermott is likely to have an impact – with Tottenham likely to send promising players to the Championship side.
For the Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern, this news is win-win for the Lilywhites. For them, their academy simply has too much talent for Pochettino to utilise all at once, and whilst players like Harry Winks are getting a chance now – other players will have to wait for their turn.
Tottenham’s developmental system has been very fruitful in recent years, and between young players that are being signed and young players that are being produced, our landlord thinks that Mauricio Pochettino can rest easily knowing that his side will continue to be strong for several years. From Dele Alli to Harry Kane to Danny Rose, there is no shortage of young talent at White Hart Lane. Our landlord thinks that this agreement will only serve to improve that.
