Tottenham Hotspur won’t let anything get in the way of their Premier League title push, as they currently find themselves keeping up with the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool.
Spurs managed to inflict a heavy defeat upon Tranmere Rovers on Friday night as Fernando Llorente grabbed a hat-trick, which helped book Mauricio Pochettino’s side a place in the next round of the FA Cup.
However, it appears as if the Argentine is currently focused on bringing in a defender, as according to Italian journalist Ciro Venerato (via Passione Inter and Spurs-Web), Tottenham are readying a £36 million bid for Joachim Anderson.
It’s thought that Spurs are considering making a £36 million bid for the 22-year-old.
“Joachim Andersen? Yes there are some teams who have expressed interest in him as he has been doing well in the Serie A,”
“Tottenham are one of these teams as they have a 40 million euros [£36 million] offer ready for him.”
Interestingly, the Danish Under-21 international has caught the eye during his performances at the heart of the Sampdoria defence this season.
However, Spurs face stiff competition from Inter Milan in attempting to land the defender as it’s thought that talks have already begun between the two Serie A clubs regarding a deal this month.
Joachim Anderson, who is valued at £13.5 million (by Transfermarkt), has established himself as one of the hottest topics in the Serie A.
The Lilywhites could do with bringing in another central defender to help sure things up at the heart of the defence.
