Tottenham in the race for £48,000-per-week midfielder, Pochettino has doubts over move

The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern want to see their side challenge for the Premier League next season…

The Lilywhites have done well this year, but with Harry Kane now unavailable, it is certainly going to be a tough ask for Pochettino’s men to claw back Chelsea in top spot.

Indeed, it is far more likely that Tottenham will pose more of a threat next season, but in order to do so, they certainly need to bring in a few new players.

One such player that they are reportedly targeting is Everton midfielder Ross Barkley, who has impressed this season. Indeed, the Daily Mail are reporting that Tottenham are leading the race for the Englishman – though significantly, Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly had doubts over whether he could play in the same side as Dele Alli.

Nonetheless, the Daily Mail note that Tottenham have been impressed with his return to form, and it appears as though a move could well be on the cards this summer.

The Tottenham fans are pretty excited about this, especially considering how well Barkley has performed this season. With 4 goals and 7 assists to his name, the 23-year-old has really come of age this year.

Arsenal are reportedly also keen on Barkley, who is said to earn around £48,000 per week.
