Tottenham, Liverpool and Arsenal set to battle it out for Peteborough starlet

The Premier League has, in recent years, become a hotbed of young talent – with some of England’s biggest sides battling it out for the most sought after young players in world football.

Chelsea have become renowned for it in recent years, whilst clubs including Tottenham, Man Utd and Arsenal are also frequent users of the system.

Now, it would appear that some of the Premier League’s top sides are set to battle it out for another young star; and it would appear that Tottenham are winning.

According to the Sun, Spurs are leading the chase for Peterborough starlet Leo Da Silva Lopes, with the trio of Arsenal, Liverpool and Southampton all keen on the youngster.

Lopes has burst onto the scene in recent weeks with a number of good performances – and it would appear that he is destined for the Premier League.

Despite being just 17-years-old, he has already made an impressive 18 league appearances for Peterborough – and has quickly cemented himself as a key member of the League One outfit’s first team. He also recently scored his first goal for the club, popping up with an impressive effort in the EFL Cup for the Posh.

There is definitely going to be some debates in the Football Transfer Tavern over who could best develop the youngster; but it would appear that Tottenham are leading the chase…
