Tottenham fans were left frustrated inside the Football Transfer Tavern following the clubs failure to secure the signing of a striker during the transfer window, but Declan Warrington of the Daily Mail reckons the club have lined up a new summer target.
Andre Villas-Boas is reportedly ready to turn his attention to Braga striker Eder, after a failed attempt to sign Leandro Damiao from Internacional.
The club had a £17 million bid rejected for the Brazilian during the transfer window, and are now thought to be looking at cheaper alternatives.
22-year-old striker Eder fits the bill, with Braga thought to be willing to sell for around £8m.
The striker has a £26m release cause in his contract due to the clubs financial situation, but will be allowed to leave for far less than that figure.
Eder has also been monitored by Norwich City and Swansea City, with the latter requiring a replacement for Danny Graham.
Tottenham currently only have Jermain Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor as the senior strikers on the clubs books.
Fans were left frustrated by their failure to act in the January window, especially as Adebayor is away at the African Cup of Nations, and Defoe has been struggling with a hip injury.
There are real concerns amongst Tottenham supporters that the lack of strength in depth up top could go on to hinder their top four challenge.
