Tottenham looking to bring World Cup hero back to English football

SchurrleTottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern are the most nervous they’ve ever been, as they chase down a Premier League title, but they’ve fortunately got some exciting news on the transfer front to distract them.

The Daily Mirror states Mauricio Pochettino’s side are looking to swoop for Wolfsburg winger Ander Schurrle this summer and bring the German international back to the Premier League.

The World Cup winner, who provided the assist for Mario Gotze’s goal in the 2014 final against Argentina, left Chelsea just over a year ago for the Bundesliga side but is already said to be unsettled in his new surroundings.

Wolfsburg reached the Champions League quarter-finals this season and had one foot in the last four before a Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick saved Real Madrid’s blushes and the German outfit look set to miss out on European competition next term.

Add this to the fact that Schurrle is unhappy under boss Dieter Hecking, and his fiancee is keen to leave the city, and it makes for very interesting reading for Spurs supporters.

Our landlord believes this would be an incredible move for Tottenham and would had them a massive boost ahead of their return to Champions League football next season.

Spurs fans, is Schurrle a player you want to see brought in this summer? Let us know in the comments below!
