Tottenham: Lots of fans were happy with Paulo Gazzaniga’s clean sheet performance in the Champions League

From Giovani Lo Celso scoring his first goal for the club to Heung-min Son seemingly getting over last weekend’s horror episode at Goodison Park, it was an all-round great night for Tottenham in the Champions League, and it was another good performance for Paulo Gazzaniga.

The Argentine goalkeeper kept a second Champions League clean sheet in a row as the 27-year-old shot-stopper was in fine form in Belgrade against the Serbian side, with stats from WhoScored showing that Gazzaniga managed three saves in Spurs’ 4-0 win against Red Star (per BBC Sport).

Gazzaniga’s performance was somewhat overshadowed by the likes of Lo Celso and Son, yet plenty of Tottenham supporters on social media were still on deck to lavish the usual club number-two with praise for what was a good outing for the former Southampton keeper.

Here’s what some Spurs fans had to say about Gazzaniga’s performance against Red Star, with plenty of supporters pleased with how the Argentine keeper got on in only his third Champions League outing (per Transfermarkt)…

Tottenham fans, can Gazzaniga retain the starting XI spot when Lloris returns? Let us know!
