Tottenham Hotspur are yet to make a signing in the transfer window, however, things could be about to change for the White Hart Lane outfit.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side will want to improve on last season’s performances and it would have been felt that the club would have needed to make a couple of additions to help them achieve their aims.
However, the club appears to be looking towards their long-term future at the moment, with reports suggesting they have made an offer for a highly-rated teenager.
According to The Irish Independent, Spurs have made a bid of around €200,000 to land Gavin Bazunu from Shamrock Rovers with the 16-year-old thought to have been offered a four-year deal to join the north London outfit, once he finishes his exams in Ireland next June.
The goalkeeper has impressed with his performances for the Irish outfit and has led to many of England and Scotland’s biggest clubs to take an interest, however, Tottenham are looking to beat the competition for him.
Bazunu would certainly be a signing for the future should he arrive at Tottenham this summer.
The goalkeeper will likely head into the developmental ranks at White Hart Lane where Pochettino would keep a close eye on him, before giving him his opportunity in the senior side.
However, at the age of 16, he could be a major coup for the club in the future and €200,000 is a small price to pay in the transfer market during the modern era.
