Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to add to their squad in the January transfer window as they look to bolster their options.
It is well documented that Spurs failed to add any players in the summer and now they are starting to suffer with a number of key men picking up untimely injuries.
It is being claimed that Olympique de Lyonnais’ Tanguy Ndombele is high on the Argentine’s shortlist and has made him a primary target this January.
The 21-year-old has been impressive for the Ligue One outfit and has recently seen his performances help him make a breakthrough into the France national squad.
However, it is understood that he could cost Spurs in the region of at least £55million after signing a new contract recently and they will have some competition from Manchester City for his signature.
Tottenham need to seriously add some depth and quality to their squad in the winter if they are to compete for a place in the Champions League next season and for silverware this year.
Ndombele would be an outstanding signing for Spurs and with the likes of Mousa Dembele and Victor Wanyama’s future’s in doubt, he should be one they focus on making.
However, it will remain to be seen if they can get Lyon to accept a potential offer, whether they will offer a large sum and if they can beat the rest of the expected competition for his signature.
